The thesis deals with the issues that arise concerning the conservation and restoration of six models Heinrich Wendel created in 1965 as projecion masters for the stage set. These three-dimensional models consist of a combination of various materials, mostly soft- and plywood, polyvinyl chloride, cardboard, photographic paper, acrylic artist paint, solvent borne adhesive and pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes. After an historical classification considerations for possible conservation and restoration measures are formulated on the basis of scientific analysis of the materials and the precise documentation of the condition of the models. The thesis concludes by describing the executed treatment and recommending guidelines for adequate maintenance and storage.
